Heard on the Hill - Congresswoman Mia Love Urges President Trump to End the Device Tax
During a White House meeting on trade and tax issues with President Trump this week, Congresswoman Mia Love requested to permanently remove the medical device tax. “This tax stifles innovation, negatively impacting jobs, driving up costs and making Utah companies less competitive,” Congresswoman Love said. Rep. Love continued: “The President agreed with me that the Medical Device Tax is burdensome and grossly unfair. He agreed with me that he would like to see it repealed this year. I will be working to make sure this happens.” The Congresswoman shared her conversation with the President while speaking before a group of medical technology innovators at a recent AdvaMed meeting.
